I Earned my Master's in Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC) from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. in 2016. While at LU I was trained in Christian Counseling. I Currently hold a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Indiana and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado. I completed the internship in addition to the residency post grad hours while working at the Children's Bureau, Inc's Courage Center. as the in-house Therapist. During this time I worked with children and adolescents that have experienced complex trauma that included physical and sexual abuse, adoption, abandonment, and human trafficking. During my time at Courage Center, I also taught various training's regarding mental health diagnosis, trauma-informed care, and how to be supportive of clients who have extensive trauma.
It is a privilege to be allowed into the vulnerable spaces of the broken. Healing is a long-game journey that takes time to build trust and faith in humans. I also work to bridge Clients and Ministry teams to heal communication so the Body of Christ remains whole.
I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting (BSP) Certified, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (T-FCBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Delectable Behavioral Therapy, Gottman L1, Christian Counseling, and Mindfulness.
Currently I support adult men and women with reconstruction from their religious trauma into a healthy connection with God. Support healing the childhood abuse wounds that affect people from becoming whole. Support couples with marriage counseling, I work with variety of complex traumas, and complex cases where people give up or have lost hope. Sometimes people need support with seeing themselves how God sees them versus how humans have hurt them. At times, I have been requested to support patients in the justice system for a variety of cases from human trafficking, child support, abuse of minors, divorce, and as an expert witness. I have a soft spot for people in ministry and work hard to cultivate a safe space for them to be human.
I believe if people can heal the root issue holistically with the bridging of the Holy Ghost, clinical therapy, and a healthy church community more people will remain part of the Body of Christ.

For too long mental health and mental illness has been viewed and taught as spiritual issues or not needed if a person has prayed or completed their spiritual disciplines. Prayer works, we are advocates for prayer. Science proves that God is real as evidenced by the advancement of brain scans, screens, and other assessments that show mental health and mental illness is just as real as prayer.
There has been a stigma in the church community and in the secular community surrounding mental health or seeking help for behavioral, mental, or emotional issues. Our goal is to help break the stigma so that individuals, families, and communities no longer struggle alone in silence. When we heal loudly, we give others the courage to come forward to heal. Being made whole is about healing the mind, body, and soul of the individual so they can fully become who they were created to be.
We recognize many times, mental illness has gone untreated, undiagnosed, and there has been a lack of psychoeducation with connecting the life puzzle of experiences together. We will work with you to peel back layers of behavioral and emotional patterns to identify a way forward towards healing. We believe in wholeness healing, which means working with releases with your pastoral team, medical providers, or family members as a team to lift patients up. At times patients come in and are able to complete therapy in 6-8 sessions, while other times, due to complex trauma, or the mental diagnosis, therapy becomes a lifestyle. Our goal is to help people where they are at with skills, science, and point to God.

Life Coaching can happen face to face or virtually with anyone located in the world.
Life Coaching is a profession that is profoundly different from consulting, mentoring, advice, therapy, or counseling. The coaching process addresses specific personal projects, business successes, general conditions and transitions in the client's personal life, relationships or profession by examining what is going on right now, discovering what your obstacles or challenges might be, and choosing a course of action to make your life be what you want it to be.
You, the client, are the only expert in your entire life who truly knows who you are and what you need. You are the only expert who can recognize what is absolutely best for you. We are simply experts in the coaching process. As your coach, we help you discover what your own personal "best" might be.
If you need clinical therapy, you will be referred to a clinical therapist for those needs.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
• Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you
choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Do I have to be Christian to participate with therapy?
No. You can be of a different branch of Christianity, or not Christian at all. Being client focused opens the door for people to apply their faith or leave faith out. of therapy and life coaching.
Who will know I am seeing a Therapist Or Life Coach?
Only the people you tell or approve for us to talk with will know you are in therapy. Even with a release, you approve what is discussed.
How long will therapy or Life Coaching take?
As long as needed. It is based on the individual need, progress, and ability to apply the learned skills. It is not my goal to keep clients in therapy longer than needed. Groups will only last as long as the cycle.
Does seeing a Therapist or Life Coach mean I do not have faith in God?
No!! God gave many people within the Body of Christ different skill sets to help each other. Seeing a Therapist should be as normal as seeing a Family Doctor or Dentist.
Why don't you take insurance?
We want to meet the needs of individuals seeking support and not the needs of third party payers who will restrict providing services for healing. We strive to rebuild trust with people who are healing, and having to stop services due finances break trust. In our collective experiences, insurance denies more mental health claims than approving mental health claims. Insurance does not cover Christian concepts or spiritual practices being added to treatment plans. Insurance only covers assigned in office treatment versus meeting individuals in the community, in their home, at churches, or in nature.
Rate differences are based on who is providing the services, certifications, skills, and license.
Passionate, skilled, committed, invested and serious about helping people unpack, sort and find solutions and coping methods! If you need somewhere to be vulnerable and transparent and are looking for therapy, guidance counseling and need an advocate!
Falicia is an amazing therapist! She has not only helped me through a sea of depression and anxiety, but given me tools to thrive! I cannot recommend her highly enough!
Falicia is very gifted in being able to help you open up and help you see the hard truth so you can heal and move forward in life in a positive direction. If you are looking for a REAL no-nonsense counselor with Christian background look no further.
After working with Falicia Miller for 4 years I have seen her ability to work with challenging issues, her passion to help others, and her unique style of therapy. She goes above and beyond for her clients, thinks outside the box when traditional ways have not worked and gives hope when some have given up. She is very straightforward and builds a strong therapeutic alliance by giving clients all the information. She walks clients through psyhoeducational material, gives them homework, and helps them understand their diagnosis. She is constantly seeking out the newest trainings and evidenced based treatments to offer as many options as possible. She is very knowledgeable in the effects of trauma, crisis response, Trauma Informed Care, and the DSM-5. She lead many trainings for our new hires and is able to incorporate the information with examples from real life situations.
Falicia is an incredible woman and counselor! She is as passionate as they come. She is constantly trying to better herself professionally and is always trying to find more ways to help her clients. She goes the extra mile to help people and is selflessly devoted to giving others the best of herself. She is amazing as what she does, God has blessed her with a special gift!
Highly recommend Falicia Miller!!! Between her personal life experience, years of education, and professional experience, she is absolutely equipped to help her clients. If you have lost all hope, or think your situation is hopeless, give Falicia at Greater Purpose a call.
Professional, organized, available, and location are all exceptional!!!
I have worked with Falicia for several years while she’s been a therapist at Emergency Shelter Care. She has worked with several of my kids on my caseload that have been victims of human trafficking. She has been able to easily build a rapport with these kids and gain their trust quickly. She has great insight into human trafficking and the trauma it can have on a child. She understands how human trafficking has evolved over time and is able to tailor her therapy with these victims to fit their own individual needs. I would highly recommend Falicia for therapy, especially in the area of human trafficking. Kids relate to her well and she is great at communicating with me as a case manager.
